Ronda Friend is a children’s author and master storyteller who has captivated the hearts and minds of children and adults for over thirty years with her humor, charm, music, and childlike heart.

Ronda’s farm series, “Down On Friendly Acres” is based on her life growing up on Friendly Acres in the 50’s and 60’s.  She’s older than Barbie!  With two older brothers and a younger sister there’s plenty of fussin’ ‘n fighten’.  Grandma Brombaugh (still alive at 98 years old) steps in as the undercover angel giving advice like, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”

The first book, “R. Friend—Swallows Her Pride” is on forgiveness.  The second book, “R. Friend—Time Out At Home” is on patience.  “R. Friend—Hats’ Off To Heroes” is her newest release and is on kindness.  That book salutes our armed forces, medical field, and a child who faces her own battle with great courage!  There are always songs, two poems, two recipes, hidden sunflower seeds, new vocabulary, and AR test are available for each book.

Ronda holds a B.A. degree in education . She was a storyteller for Scholastic Book Fairs for nine years and has written, produced, and directed dozens of children’s musicals.  R. Friend is the founder of Sunflower Seeds Press—a children’s publishing company sowing seeds of kindness, patience, perseverance, laughter, and honesty into the lives of children. She has two grown children, Jeremy and Stephanie and lives with her husband, Bill, in Franklin, Tennnessee.
